HHCGA Partners with Mora's LST for CPR and AED Certification Training

HHCGA & Mora’s LST Partnership/ Certification

The HHCGA has partnered with Mora’s Life Saving Training, (“LST”), on a strategic initiative for workplace and physical onsite training to deploy independently the American Heart Association’s (“AHA”) Physical Full Workplace Certification for CPR and ECC. This training included First Aid CPR AED, Heartsaver™ CPR AED, Heartsaver™ First Aid, Heartsaver™ Pediatric for infants, children, and adults which also included comprehensive training for choking and how to react to the situation as a lay person.

The training, facilitated by David Mora an AHA certified instructor, provided the HHCGA team with the necessary CPR AED hands-on training and certification to allow our team to be able to react to situations that may arise anywhere or anytime on a daily basis. The training session, which was conducted in both Spanish and English, provided seventeen HHCGA Promotores with a comprehensive opportunity to acquire a measure of proficiency and certification to administer effective CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and also to become familiar with the use of an AED (Automated external defibrillator).

The HHCGA’s Executive Director & Vice Chair, Shirley E. “Bella” Borghi in regards to the training: “The HHCGA is committed to better health outcomes and to training our resources to uplift them for future generations. Training and education are imperative to what the HHCGA does every day. Our Promotores are frontline workers and perform a wide range of social and support functions throughout our Communities.”
